On 30 April 2026, EUVAC participated in EHDS-AI CONNECT 2026: Building a Robust and Secure AI-Enabled Connected Health Data Space for a Stronger European Health Union, held in Lemesos, Cyprus, in the context of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The conference was organised by the Ministry of Health of Cyprus and the National eHealth Authority, bringing together stakeholders from the health and digital-health sectors across Europe. Discussions focused on the implementation of the European Health Data Space, the development of secure and interoperable health-data infrastructures, and the role of artificial intelligence in supporting the future of healthcare.

EUVAC was featured in Plenary 8: EHDS-Related Projects Cluster on Primary Use, a session dedicated to European projects contributing to the implementation of EHDS primary-use services. The session highlighted initiatives supporting cross-border health-data exchange, patient access to electronic health records, interoperability services and citizen-centred digital health solutions.

Representing the EUVAC project, Alexia Preveza, EUVAC Technical Project Manager and Senior IT Business Systems Analyst of eHealth at IDIKA Single Member SA, contributed to the session under the topic “Advancing cross-border digital vaccination services under EHDS.”

EUVAC’s participation highlighted the project’s role in preparing the European Digital Vaccination Card and advancing Vaccination History as a secure, interoperable and privacy-aware digital service. By aligning with the MyHealth@EU environment and the wider EHDS framework, EUVAC supports the development of trusted cross-border vaccination-information services for citizens, healthcare professionals and national health systems.

The event provided an important opportunity to connect EUVAC with other European digital-health initiatives and to strengthen cooperation around EHDS implementation, Member State readiness and the future of citizen-centred health-data exchange in Europe.
